The Lahat Regency Education Office Successfully Prepares Foreign Workers with an Innovative Internet-Free Practice Test Preparation

LAHAT, SOUTH SUMATERA – Efforts to accelerate digital education transformation in Indonesia are often hampered by infrastructure challenges and limited internet access. However, the Lahat Regency Education Office has successfully proven that digitalization in education does not have to rely on an internet connection. Through strategic steps, Lahat Regency is now a pioneer in providing inclusive and efficient digital learning to junior high schools in its region.

Success Story of the Lahat Regency Education Office With Kipin MAX

Kipin MAX’s Real Solution: Digitalization Without Internet Barriers

This success focuses on the use of Kipin MAX, a sophisticated local server that enables digital learning to run entirely offline. Currently, 19 junior high schools in Lahat Regency, including SMP Negeri 7 Lahat, SMP Negeri 3 Kikim Barat, and SMP IT Ikhlas Cendekia, have benefited from this technology.

Kipin MAX functions as an evaluation server and learning center that can be accessed by all students at the school simultaneously without requiring an internet connection. With high speeds (100 Mbps) dedicated to the school network, students can access thousands of learning content, from digital books and educational videos to literacy reading materials, simply through a tablet or laptop.

A Smart Strategy for Welcoming the Academic Ability Test (TKA)

This step is considered a very smart strategy by the Lahat Regency Education Office, especially in preparing students for the TKA (Academic Ability Test). With Kipin MAX in schools, students have the facility to practice as many TKA questions as possible without the need for credit or slow internet connections.

This intensive training allows students to become accustomed to the digital exam format and hone their academic skills, both independently and with guidance. The main focus is on providing every student with an equal opportunity to succeed in the TKA through unlimited practice and free internet costs.

Assessments Become Practical, Affordable, and Enjoyable

One of the most significant impacts is felt in the implementation of student assessments and evaluations. While assessment activities were previously considered a “bogeyman” that consumed time, energy, and significant operational costs, the situation has now completely reversed.

Junior high school teachers in Lahat Regency can now administer practice questions, daily assessments, and exams easily and practically. Because they operate offline, schools are no longer burdened by internet subscription fees or expensive paper printing costs. The evaluation process has transformed into a fun activity for both teachers and students, creating a more interactive and intensive learning ecosystem.

Appreciating Bold and Visionary Leadership

This revolutionary step is inseparable from the crucial role of Mr. H. NIEL ALDRIN, S.E., MAP., Head of the Lahat Regency Education and Culture Office. His decision to adopt Kipin MAX is seen as a demonstration of courage in providing real solutions to educational challenges in the digital age.

This initiative is not simply about providing technological devices, but rather a long-term investment to create equitable, effective and efficient quality education. By providing training to educators, the Lahat Education Office ensures that this digitalization is accompanied by increased teacher competency in the field.

Inspiration for 500 Regencies/Cities Across Indonesia

Lahat Regency’s success in implementing digital learning and assessment without internet is expected to be a catalyst for other regions in Indonesia. Geographical challenges and signal limitations should no longer be barriers for the nation’s children to gain access to quality digital education.

It is hoped that 500 other regencies/cities across Indonesia will soon follow Lahat Regency’s bold steps in digitizing their learning and assessment systems. This transformation is key to creating equitable access to learning for all students in Indonesia, without being constrained by infrastructure or cost constraints.
