Saving Our Children’s Digital Future: Smart Learning Without the Traps of Internet Hazards

A Digital Solution Without Internet to Protect Children's Future

The digital era is inevitable. In the face of global competition, digital learning for Indonesian children cannot be postponed any longer, as halting this progress would only cause our nation to fall further behind. However, behind the convenience of information access lies a real threat that is now right before our eyes.

The Internet: A Double-Edged Sword The internet is like an extremely sharp knife; it is highly beneficial if used correctly, but its impact can be fatal if misused. Current facts show a very alarming situation. According to the latest data, nearly 200,000 Indonesian children have been exposed to online gambling, and even more concerning, approximately 80,000 of them are children under the age of 10.

The Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, emphasized that online gambling is not just digital entertainment, but a serious threat that destroys children’s futures and family economies. If children are left to use the internet without strict supervision, they are highly vulnerable to falling into negative content.

The Supervision Dilemma: A Heavy Burden for Teachers and Parents We all agree that children cannot be left alone while using the internet because it is extremely dangerous. They must be accompanied by an adult. However, a major challenge arises in the field: a school teacher must guide and supervise many students simultaneously. A teacher’s time and energy are certainly not enough to continuously monitor every student’s screen activity to ensure they remain safe from harmful content.

Seeking Digital Learning Solutions Without the Internet Recognizing this condition, the government and educational institutions must immediately seek smart solutions: digital learning that does not require an open internet connection. We need a system that still provides access to high-quality educational content while firmly closing the door to negative content.

Kipin: The Answer for Safe Digital Education Kipin emerges as an innovative solution addressing these concerns. With facilities from Kipin, digital education can continue to its maximum potential without anxiety. Some of its flagship products include:
