In the current era, digitalization of schools is the main key for the advancement of education in Indonesia. In order to support this advancement, the SD Inpres 20 Nuni Manokwari, West Papua Province, has implemented exciting digital learning using Kipin. Why did they choose Kipin? Kipin is an application that is very easy and practical when used. Kipin supports the acceleration of school digitization that can be run in a hybrid manner, both with and without the internet.
Kipin contains thousands of learning content of various types, facilitates teacher creativity and helps students to study at school without the difficulty of finding books, they can even get abundant educational materials that are in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Curriculum.
Supervised by Alprina Yanti, a teacher at SD Inpres 20 Nuni, the students found learning very enjoyable and stimulating their curiosity to continue learning. The students also carried out refreshing activities in classes, namely by playing relay games using the question practice menu in the Kipin application. Thus, students can experience the sensation of learning while playing by competing in an educational and fun way as well training on their teamwork and focus level.
There are many benefits that teachers and students get when using Kipin, including:
- Teachers and students can access thousands of learning materials in the form of school digital books according to the Ministry of Education and Culture’s curriculum, learning videos, practice questions, hundreds of educational comics, activity books and other literacy support books through the Kipin School application for free.
- Teachers can create challenges and interesting activities for students utilizing the materials in the Kipin School application based on teachers’ creativity.
- Kipin makes it easy for students to study anywhere and anytime because they only use a cell phone without always relying on the internet because of Kipin’s download-and-go technology. Through this technology, only one download process is needed, then it can be accessed, read, or played back anytime and anywhere without the need for internet.
Alprina Yanti, S.Pd. said “Using Kipin school is very easy, plus the modules provided are very practical for children to study and work on questions”. Alprina’s hope for Kipin in the future is that Kipin will become the main application in every school because Kipin makes learning accessible along with the changes in the education curriculum, and Kipin always adapts to the Ministry of Education and Culture’s curriculum.
Technology is here to facilitate human work, including in the field of education. Technology can be a solution for a practical, effective and fun learning. It is time for Indonesia to turn to digital learning for a brighter educational future and not left behind by the times. SD Inpres 20 Nuni, Manokwari, West Papua has started it. When is your school’s turn?
